Insights from the Next FPGA Platform Event

Insights from the Next FPGA Platform Event

The Next FPGA Platform SemiWiki

Unfortunately, I missed this event since I was in China. Fortunately, Manoj Roge VP Strategic Planning and Business Development at Achronix participated and did a nice write-up. Manoj has more than 20 years of experience in the programable business with Cypress Semiconductor, Xilinx, Altera, and now Achronix so you should definitely take a look. There is a blog HERE that includes a section on “Is There a Room for Another FPGA Vendor?” which is a great question of course given the history of FPGAs.

The NEXT FPGA PLATFORM event itself was a gathering of FPGA leaders discussing application acceleration. Here is the abstract of the event. Spoiler Alert it is quite long. It also lists the speakers and sponsors which includes Intel, Xilinx, and Achronix amongst others. Here are the speakers:

Nicole Hemsoth, Timothy Prickett Morgan, Ivo Bolsens, Doug Burger, Paul Chow, John Lockwood, Art Sedighi, Stephen Bates, Steve Hebert, Manoj Roge, Pushpdeep Rajput, Romine Roane, Naif Tarafdar, Antonio Tumeo, Lakecia Gunter, Permal Buch, Chris Kachris, and Kirk Saban.

If you are interested there are more than three hours of video of the event posted on YouTube:
