Automotive Ethernet Congress
June 1, 2022 - June 2, 2022
The Automotive Ethernet Congress will take place for the eighth time on June 1 – 2, 2022. The conference program will highlight the entire spectrum of topics relating to the use of Ethernet in vehicles.
The vehicle is undergoing the greatest change since its inception. Automation, networking, and digitalization of the vehicle with the environment and occupants will completely change individual mobility. Important for this: a powerful vehicle network such as Automotive Ethernet, which is not only a fast and inexpensive form of data transmission in automobiles but also offers advantages such as standardization, scalability, and support for IP protocols.
The eighth Automotive Ethernet Congress of Elektronik automotive will once again feature exciting topics. The conference program will be complemented by a table-top exhibition with new products and systems as well as interesting demonstrations.

The foundation for this success are the automotive environment suitable physical layer (PHY) technologies. Their number has also increased, supporting different speedgrades and media. 100 Mbps electrical and 1 Gbps electrical and optical Ethernet can be found in series production cars today. First products for 10 Mbps and up to 10 Gbps Automotive Ethernet are being tested for the next generation cars. Standardization projects are ongoing for even higher data rates.
This event honors the importance of PHY technologies by – for the first time in the history of Automotive Ethernet – facilitating a plugfest for 10 Mbps/10BASE-T1S PHYs. Furthermore, the panel discussion is dedicated to the potential of new PHY variants. Naturally, the event additionally covers the complete range of aspects important for Automotive Ethernet like TSN, testing, software, security, architecture, with keynotes from car manufacturers and Tier 1s.
