Overview
During Part 2 of The Multibody Cislunar Design: A Tour of Concepts webinar, we’ll review dynamical systems concepts, including fixed point solutions (i.e., libration/Lagrange points) and periodic orbits. The Jacobi integral concepts and motion-bounding surfaces for a given energy level will lead our discussion to the natural flow pathways associated with periodic orbits (invariant manifolds). The discussion concludes with an example of numerically transitioning a lower-fidelity CR3BP halo orbit into an analogous higher-fidelity libration point orbit.
