DFM Deck Developer – Design Enablement

Summary of Role:

The candidate for this position will design, develop, implement, test and deploy DFM/CAD solutions and flows to support Foundry PDK and Design Flow integration. In this position you will work on methodologies to optimize the yield potential of circuit designs in advanced technology nodes. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, able to take ownership of assignments, develop work plans and proactively seek feedback to ensure objectives are aligned and met. We are looking for a team player, who is able to succeed in a dynamic, fast paced environment.

Essential Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and support DFM decks utilizing DFM scoring methodologies.
  • Design and implement new DFM techniques to enable 28nm, 22nm, 12nm and derivative technology nodes.
  • Work with IP Design Teams, Design Enablement, Process Development, OPC
  • Development, Manufacturing teams around the world to define DFM flows requirements.
  • Implement robust, production grade solutions.
  • Support advanced DFM applications for Foundry customers.
  • Communicate and interface with characterization, DFM and fab engineering
  • Perform all activities in a safe ad responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs

Required Qualifications:

  • BS Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Advanced EDA flows and tools: particularly Place-and-Route, Physical
  • Verification, DRC scripting, Process Simulations and Verification.
  • Demonstrated programming skills in two or more of the following:
  • High-level languages (e.g. C/C++, Java, etc.)
  • Scripting languages: Tcl/TK, Perl and Python
  • Excellent technical communication skills.
  • Language Fluency – English

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Masters and/or PhD in Engineering or related field.
  • Experience with semiconductor manufacturing & foundry silicon process
  • Expertise in IC design for advanced technology nodes.
  • Working knowledge of EDA software and coding utilizing Mentor SVRF,
  • Synopsys ICV or Cadence PVS.
