Portfolio Consulting Manager

This is a remote position located in the contiguous U.S.
You will make an impact as you work on:
- Expanding Siemens PTI’s consulting business in power grid analysis and design, system dynamics and transients, system interconnection, and grid code compliance.
- Maintaining relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction while finding opportunities to provide further solutions and increase business.
- Leading proposal development in response to requests for proposal or other client inquiries.
- Leading and growing a team of consultants with varying levels of experience. Set clear expectations and provide regular feedback..
- Mentoring people and helping them develop individual skills and career paths while promoting learning from successes and failures.
- Managing project execution, tracking project progress, and making necessary adjustments to maintain scope, schedule, budget, and quality.
- Collaborating with other Siemens Industry Business Units for a more comprehensive customer engagement.
Minimum requirements:
- Bachelor’s or postgraduate degree in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Power and Energy Systems.
- Proven experience performing power systems analysis for electric utilities, RTOs, and developers.
- Proven experience leading and developing teams.
- Power systems analysis experience with PSS/E required; experience with other grid analysis software such as TSAT™, TARA, PSLF™, PowerWorld, PSCAD™, etc. highly desired.
- Good knowledge of NERC Reliability Standards with understanding of RTO and other regional planning criteria, procedures, and practices.
- Strong communication, presentation, and listening skills with demonstrated ability to write effective technical reports.
- Ability to travel 10% domestically and internationally.
Preferred qualifications:
- At least 10 years of experience related to power systems analysis as described above.
- At least 2 years of proven experience managing or developing teams.
- Prior consulting experience desired.
- Experience working in the PJM, NYISO, and/or SPP regions.
