Senior Data Center and Network Engineer

Synopsys is looking for a Network Engineer to join our Data Center and Network Operations team.  This team is responsible for deploying, maintaining, and supporting a large global network consisting of 100+ office locations and 50 data centers.

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing data center operations functions.  This includes power and space planning, efficiency monitoring and improvements, and life-cycle management.  You will also be responsible for network infrastructure designs and deployments and general support of the data center

Responsibilities

• Management of hardware installs, moves and retirements
• Power and space capacity planning
• Optimize efficiency of power and space utilization
• Network designs, installs and upgrades
• Updating asset management tool to ensure accuracy and completeness
• This role requires on site business hours support in our Bangalore Datacenter

Key Qualifications

• BA/BS in a technical field or equivalent experience
• 8+ years in data center operations, networking, or related experience
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Ability to interpret data and determine the impact on infrastructure capacity
• Knowledge of electricity, monitoring and HVAC systems
• Experience in network infrastructure deployments and operations
• Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of cisco network hardware and configuration a plus
• Solid network foundation – routing, switching a plus
