Continue to learn and support state of the artMentor Graphics emulation tools. This position will provide technical sellingsupport to the Americas’ sales team out of the Fremont office. As an EmulationApplications Engineer, you will contribute to our success by assisting in thesales and deployment of Mentor Graphics emulation and verification products aswell as by increasing customer satisfaction and productivity both on-site andremotely.
Responsibilities include the following:
Drivebusiness for Mentor Graphics using hands-on technical expertise. Requiresworking directly with customers as a part of the sales team during productevaluations to ensure technical milestones are met.
Promotetechnical customer service to build and improve customer relationships toensure long term customer satisfaction.
Workclosely with area sales management, account teams and customers to understandbusiness opportunities and requirements.
Providefeedback and product ideas to our emulation product development teams.
Troubleshootand remove technical obstacles. Develop and deliver technical presentations onnew features and product updates.
Communicatecustomers’ technical requirements to product marketing.
Developa network of technical relationships at a peer-to-peer level with ourcustomers.t have previous experience with industry emulation solutions,as well assimulation environments using Questa, NCSim, VCS, Verisity Specman, VERA, OVMor UVM.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will possess the followingcombination of education and experience:
BSEEor BSCS or equivalent; MSEE preferred.
5 +years of experience in a design engineering role focusing on functionalverification; including emulation and event based simulation, or recentexperience as an Applications Engineer in a relevant field. Networkingexperience is a plus.
· Chip/ASICdesign or verification experience – knowledge of SystemVerilog/Verilog/VHDLlanguage, RTL, behavioral coding and general ASIC debug.
Cprogramming desirable. SystemC and C++ used in conjunction with chip design andverification highly desired.
Musthave previous experience with industry emulation solutions, as well assimulation environments using Questa, NCSim, VCS, Verisity Specman, VERA, OVMor UVM.
Knowledgeof Transaction Level Modeling and methodologies would be beneficial.
Previousexperience with automation/scripting (Perl, sed, awk, tcl/tk, sh) Goodcommunication skills and have the ability to provide training and demos tocustomers.
Willingto travel to drive business engagements as required across North America (10%).
