Thus, through our enriching co-op program, we help develop the next-generation of engineers and technologists.

As a Software Testing Co-op, you will support our Design Business Unit to test the new features of our design and modeling products. You will be testing software to ensure product requirements and quality standards are satisfied and help assess how well the product will meet customer needs both in terms of functionality and usability.

This 8-month co-op is a 40-hour per week paid position starting August 2020 and concluding April 2021. Please verify with your university that you can meet the duration of this co-op.

RESPONSIBILITIES
– Testing and quality assurance of simulation products
– Conduct interactive and automated testing of user interfaces and simulation results
– Investigate and track defects in production code
– Develop regression tests
– Create scripts and tools to automate testing infrastructure, process and tools
– Learn and employ best practices for quality assurance

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
− Pursuing BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field with a GPA of 3.0 or higher
− Must be currently enrolled in a full-time degree program and returning to the program after the completion of the co-op
− Knowledge and interest in software testing methodologies and/or EDA tools
− Knowledge of CAD software
− Exposure to scripting languages such as C, C++, Python, Javascript, Unix Shell scripting or VBScript
− Sharp and tenacious problem-solving skills
− Team player, responsible, and motivated

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
− ANSYS software experience
