Job Description

We are Arm’s Central Technology group who are responsible for trail-blazing the future technology which will keep Arm’s products redefining the state-of-the-art. We are looking for a hardworking Computer Vision Engineer to join Arm as part of the Applied Computer Vision Team. This team is responsible for architecture and technology investigations of modern Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Computational Photography and Image Processing workloads, with strong focus into applied, practical implementations. From this role, you can expect the following:

  • You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team, giving you the opportunity to develop and make a meaningful contribution
  • Analyzing, optimizing and developing complex, state-of-the-art CV algorithms for autonomous vehicles, mobile and AR/VR devices
  • Evaluating CV workloads on different target platforms and benchmarking them
  • You will be encouraged to participate in the computer vision and robotics conferences to stay strong in the state-of-the-art for CV
  • Presenting the algorithms and architectures you have investigated to wider technology and engineering teams at Arm, and build your own presence

Essential Skills & Expertise:

  • Experience in developing one or more algorithms of Optical flow, Visual SLAM, Visual Inertial Odometry, 3D Mapping, Place Recognition, Object Tracking or similar
  • Hands on experience in mobile robotics sensors such as IMU, mono or stereo camera, or Lidar
  • Familiarity with system architecture of mobile robots and/or Augmented Reality
  • A deep understanding of the challenges in real-time processing
  • Good programming skills in at least one object oriented language (preferably C++) and experience with at least one scripting language (preferably Python)
  • A creative, pro-active and structured approach to problem solving and attention to details
  • Good interpersonal skills, both written and verbal

Desirable Skills & Expertise:

  • Experience in deploying SLAM, VIO and 3D Mapping algorithms into commercial products
  • Knowledge of real-time operating systems and/or software stacks for automotive and mobile robotics
  • Understanding of Arm architecture and/or fundamental concepts of heterogeneous compute
