Daniel is joined by Anne-Marie Tierney, Divisional Manager at IDA Ireland. Anne-Marie has 24 years’ experience in the global investment environment with IDA Ireland, working across several key roles in Ireland and abroad, positioning Ireland for high impact investments, with a specific interest in semiconductors. Prior to IDA Ireland, Anne-Marie worked in the Management Consultancy business of PricewaterhouseCoopers in London.

Daniel explores IDA Ireland’s role with Anne-Marie, who explains how the organization focuses on and promotes investment in Ireland across the global semiconductor supply chain. Anne-Marie describes Ireland’s 50-year history as the hub for semiconductor innovation in Europe. She explains that many top semiconductor companies have invested in major operations in the region, including Analog Devices, AMD, Qualcomm, ASML and a recent $5 billion investment by Intel.

She describes the broad focus and commitment Ireland is making across workforce development, government incentives, advanced R&D, academic ecosystem development and overall scaling.
