CAD Engineer

About the Job

• Develop, enhance, and maintain a wide variety of EDA tool infrastructure and flows
• Work with different teams on design process and automation
• Interface with EDA vendors, qualifying EDA tools, developing tools and flows, customizing and integrating tools and general user support
• Architect the overall platform for IC design
• Develop custom flows and manage tool installation and support
• Develop scripts to automate complex verification flows like Mixed Mode Simulations and CDC analysis
• Proactively analyze and optimize design flows
• Assess new technologies and integrate into internal process
• Install and configure external IPs and design kits
• Develop internal methodology checks and rule decks
• Align with the IC design team on high level requirements for a given project to develop and maintain the project work areas
• Responsible for releasing process and quality checks
• Evaluate, implement, and maintain tool chains for IC design

Job Requirements

• BSc of Electronics or Computer Engineering with Very Good or higher
• 0-3 Years of industry experience in CAD or IC design-related fields
• Excellent UNIX and scripting programming skills (Perl, Python)
• Good knowledge of Analog/Mixed Signal IC design flow
• Ability to provide automations for rapid and dynamic design needs and flows
• Should be process oriented and have a passion for scripting/automation
• Strong communication skills, self-motivated, and proven debug skills
• Highly attentive to details and able to work independently
• Experience with data management tools (Subversion, CVS, GIT) is a plus
