SemiWiki WEBINAR: Ensuring System-level Security Through Hardware/Software Security Verification

August 21, 2019 @ 10:00 AM - 10:45 AM

Overview

There has been an ever-increasing number of security exploits being discovered in the wild. Many of these exploits are due to design decisions that are made in the underlying hardware itself, which then enables software to act maliciously. Therefore, it is prudent that we must verify hardware and software simultaneously to identify system-level security vulnerabilities. This webinar will explore this topic in more detail.

What You Will Learn

In this webinar, we will discuss common hardware security concerns in IoT, Datacenter, Aerospace/Defense, and other markets that are often centered around a Hardware Root of Trust. We then discuss common hardware security verification techniques, as well as their benefits and drawbacks. Next, we will present the best-in-class techniques and methodologies for understanding the system security ramifications of a mixed hardware/software system. Lastly, we will present an example security analysis on a real-world hardware/software system using the discussed techniques.

Who Should Attend

  • Hardware design and verification engineers
  • Security architects, program managers, and engineering directors who want to learn more about pre-silicon security verification
