Plating Maintenance Technician

Summary/Objective: The Plating Maintenance Technician is responsible for the continuous operation of all Plating Strip Lines and Barrel Lines.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
- Support global Plating Operations with a high level of integrity with the maintenance of the plating strip lines and barrel lines.
- Complete scheduled preventative maintenance daily on plating lines and support equipment, documenting findings in the maintenance work order system and follow up on open issues found.
- Monitor preventative maintenance tasks performed by production operators and assist as required.
- Respond to emergency breakdowns and perform troubleshooting on, and repairs to, a variety of production equipment, including electrical, plumbing, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulics.
- Maintain special tooling by cleaning, inspecting, repairing, and restocking as required.
- Fabricate tooling and spare parts as needed to support Plating Operations.

Required Experience
- 5+ Years’ Experience in a technical or technician role in a large-volume manufacturing environment.
- Electrical experience is a must.
- Experience troubleshooting/programming PLC’s is preferred.
- Lifting Requirements: Medium Work – Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds from floor to waist. Requires working with heavy drums of chemicals with a drum dolly.
- Hazards and Atmospheric Conditions: Exposure to chemicals and sound; must wear required safety gear.
- Must be a self-starter with strong teamwork skills.
- Must be able to work independently and learn quickly.
- Good communication skills both written and verbal.
Preferred Education/experience:
- High School Diploma or Diploma.
- 2-Year or 4-Year Electrical or Mechanical Engineering/Technical Degree is preferred.
- Experience can be used to supplement or replace educational requirements.
