Performance Architecture Engineer

The Role/Responsibilities:

Person will be responsible for achieving the high-performance goal set for the cutting-edge AI and out-of-order CPUs. They will have to analyze the performance bottlenecks of the CPU microarchitecture itself, analyze the performance differences between the hardware design and the performance model, and explore the microarchitecture features via the performance models. Therefore, they will also have to join the performance model development and implement ideas. In order to maximize the performance of workloads, they also need to analyze the workload characteristics to either optimize the workload or the microarchitecture.

Requirements:

• Experienced with computer architecture
• Experienced with processor micro-architecture
• Experienced with micro-architecture performance analysis
• Experienced with benchmarking
• Experienced with microbenchmark design
• Experienced with RISC-V V-extension is a plus
• Experienced with performance model development is a plus
• Good presentation skills

Skills

• Assembly programming
• C/C++ programming
• Waveform analysis

Others

• Familiar with git or other source code control system.
• Familiar with Linux-based development environments including python/shell programming.
