Siemens Digital Factory Division offers a comprehensive portfolio of seamlessly integrated hardware, software and technology-based services in order to support companies worldwide.
We are seeking a CAE (CFD/FEA) Application Engineer to work on the area of spatial discretization. The job holder will liaise with Product Development groups and members of the Product Management team to develop requirements and prove technology for new software that will meet end-user expectations.
Technology areas of interest to this role include geometry preparation, meshing, and motion with a focus on automation, performance and ease of use.
Do you want to pioneer the use of the latest enhancements within Siemens PLM flagship product Simcenter STAR-CCM+? If you have experience using Simcenter STAR-CCM+ in a sophisticated engineering environment, tackling complex geometric problems and have fresh ideas for improvements, this might be for you.
The Application Engineer will investigate and report on the suitability of our software and translate deficiencies into features to support development activities. The candidate will prove advanced features in development versions of the code and provide training and guidance to Sales and Product Management.

Required skills and experience
- A postgraduate degree (PhD, MEng, MSc or equivalent) in an Engineering discipline.
- Strong background and interest in fluid dynamics, geometry discretization, and motion.
- Prior experience with STAR-CCM+ or similar CFD software.
- Basic programming and/or shell scripting skills
- Experience in a Linux environment.
- Excellent communication skills.
