HSINCHU, Taiwan, R.O.C. – Mar. 8, 2024 - TSMC (TWSE: 2330, NYSE: TSM) today
announced its net revenue for February 2024: On a consolidated basis, revenue for February 2024
was approximately NT$181.65 billion, a decrease of 15.8 percent from January 2024 and an
increase of 11.3 percent from February 2023. Revenue for January through February 2024 totaled
NT$397.43 billion, an increase of 9.4 percent compared to the same period in 2023.

Mar YOY of revenue of 20% (USD5.5B) ~would put 1Q24 YOY revenue at UDS18.2B, which is below Wendell Huang’s (TSMC CFO) midpoint revenue guidance of USD18.0B to USD18.8B.

1Q24 revenue of USD18.0B, USD18.4B, and USD18.8B would put Mar YOY at ~15.4%, ~24.0%, and ~32.7%, respectively.

Given the general desire to “beat” midpoint consensus, I suspect Mar YOY revenue may be mid to high 20’s percent. Especially, since Mar ’23 revenue was uncharacteristically low.

BTW, there are 20 trading days in both Feb. and Mar. this year.
