If you don't know about EDPS, it's a great boutique design/EDA conference held every year within walking distance of Monterey. They have high quality speakers, presentations and panels, it's a small group so you get a real chance to talk to speakers, panelists and attendees. And it's held in a hotel right on the beach facing the Monterey Bay. You can take selfies framed by the Bay to annoy friends and family

• Dinner keynote on IoT design applications and security from Ken Caviasca of Intel (I don't know where dinner is but it's usually somewhere nice on the waterfront in Monterey)

Friday April 22nd

• Keynote on facets of cyber security from the Chris Eagle of the Naval Postgraduate School
• Side channel analysis workshop (security)
• Fault injection workshop (security)
