I know I shouldn't go there, but ... something about Pat's intonation and use of rhetorical questions reminded me of Michael Scott in "The Office" (my son's been forcing us to watch all the episodes - the US version's so much better than the UK original).
I don't think so. In my experience Pat likes talking about himself a lot.
As for wanting "long haul" employees, it made me grunt when I heard him say it. Pat wants people aligned with his views and personal loyalty. A lot of executives are like that, and so are politicians, but most of them don't make public statements like Pat is making in this interview.
