Dan is joined Dr. Douglas Sparks, CEO of M2N Technologies LLC, a consulting firm specializing in semiconductors, MEMS and sensors, including their supply chains. He has just published a new book, A Decade in the Chinese Semiconductor Industry: An American’s Story. Doug was the CTO of Hanking Electronics which built a high-volume wafer fab in Shenyang, China. In addition to China, he has international semiconductor business experience in Japan and Europe as well as the United States.

In this informative discussion Doug describes his experiences while working on semiconductor infrastructure in China. He provides information on the impact of US export controls in China and the broader impact on the worldwide supply chain. Dan and Doug discuss semiconductor fab buildout around the world and possible broad-based over-capacity going forward. Intellectual property protection in China is also discussed. The details behind security and surveillance in China and potential broader use of this technology are also explored.
