Overview

We are looking for an experienced Semiconductor IP Automation Testing Engineer to work across the company to enhance our use of automation to drive quality improvements.

This role is suitable for someone with skills and a passion for:

  • Automated of regression testing of process design kits, model, and various type of IP from standard cells through to product designs,
  • Improving automation of testing through scripting and use of machine learning / AI
  • Owning and enabling full auditability on the quality of final IP deliverables through a full chain of qualified tools, PDK’s and flows
  • Developing CI/CD methodologies and culture within a growing organization

This is an opportunity to join the fast-growing Technology Platform team at Pragmatic and play a part in the expansion and development of an efficient and capable design platform for our technology and product design and development.

Key tasks

  • Partner with groups across Pragmatic to identify opportunities, influence teams toward industry best practices.
  • Develop and maintain automated regression test methodology and systems to provide high quality, rigorous testing of all platform IP through to released products.
  • Enhance and automate the use of reporting and tracking systems to provide full chain evidence of IP quality.
  • Provide a rigorous and auditable QA framework detailing the methodologies and practices used to ensure IP has met sufficient levels of quality.
  • Fostering and developing CI/CD methodologies and culture to drive efficiency and collaboration across the business

Qualifications and training

Degree (Maths, Engineering, Computing) or equivalent experience PhD in applicable field

Strong knowledge of Linux systems and scripting Training or professional certifications in relevant field (coding, automation etc)

Skills and experience

  • Experience with one or more CI/CD tools and solutions (e.g. GitLab) Good understanding of agile software development practice
  • Understanding of build and release processes in the semiconductor industry Strong interpersonal skills – ability to work within a diverse and muti site team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and experience in presenting to senior management
  • Proven track record in the management of a successful DevOps systems in an organization
