FAE Smart SiC Europe (Field Application Engineer)

The job of FAE (Field Application Engineer) consists of connecting and listening to our customers, providing answers to their technical requests, whether recurring or specific, and to their complaints too…

Concretely, this involves meeting them regularly, on their sites (visits) or on ours (audits), understanding them and being able to translate their expectations and standards within Soitec.

Your contacts will be varied: externally, these are mainly the technical and quality services of customers, internally we find Quality, but also Product Managers or Sales.

This position is one of the few that allows you to work on all of Soitec’s products and markets, to be as close as possible to the applications and products developed by our customers and thus to have a broad vision of our sector of activity.

You have an engineering and/or university background in the fields of materials or microelectronics with at least 10 years of professional experience and preferably in the field of SiC power components

You are recognized for your communication skills and your sense of priorities: you will have to mobilize your ability to obtain and analyze data and to communicate in writing and orally in order to gain the trust of your clients.

You have a strong interest or even a good knowledge of our customers’ products and applications. Ideally experience with an industrialist in the sector located downstream of our activity.

Your professional and personal entourage recognizes your enthusiasm and your interpersonal skills and obviously your very good command of English.

This position requires regular travel within Europe and occasionally internationally.
