As a Contract and Litigation Paralegal you will play a key role on our Legal team, managing details of contracts, sales, and procurement process, in addition to cross functional workflow management, interacting with customers and suppliers and responding to document requests. This position will provide contract and legal platform support to the Legal team and related company organizations.
The Paralegal works closely with attorneys on drafting, negotiation and closing deals, as well as assisting in research, template updates, discovery, and document support during investigations. The Paralegal will also be a leader in handling NDAs and presales documents, license agreements and vendor agreements on behalf of Legal within our contract management tools workflow from formation to contract signature.
Responsibilities:
- First line review of NDAs, authorization, and certification letters.
- Triage the legal request pipeline and intake sheets; coordinate and prioritize requests between and among multiple parties.
- Draft and update templates, playbooks, and legal transactional documents for review by attorneys.
- Categorize and interpret data; analyze and prepare reports.
- Prepare, organize, and file documents, statutes, and correspondence from a variety of legal sources, databases, and contract management tools.
- Assist in collecting responsive documents for company attorneys.
- Assist lawyers in preparing documentation, scheduling meetings, and negotiations.
- Assist with management of outside counsel and legal budgets.
- Organize project work and staff documentation for the Legal team.
Experience Requirements / Qualifications:
- 5-7 years in-house experience or equivalent.
- Demonstrated knowledge and depth of experience working with IP technology, IP protection, commercial contracts, compliance, and public company documents.
- Self-starter with extensive platform and tools competence, works well under pressure and can be counted on to meet deadlines, take the initiative, and produce high quality work product.
- Resourceful research and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and task.
- Team focused with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience working on federal litigation (Patent Litigation a plus).
- Technically savvy with proven proficiency in Microsoft Office and other office and legal productivity tools.
Estimated Annual Base Salary:
- $110,000 to $145,000 annually
