Job Description

We are Arm’s Central Technology group who are responsible for trail-blazing the future technology which will keep Arm’s products redefining the state-of-the-art. We are looking for a hardworking Computer Vision Engineer to join Arm as part of the Applied Computer Vision Team. This team is responsible for architecture and technology investigations of modern Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Computational Photography and Image Processing workloads, with strong focus into applied, practical implementations. From this role, you can expect the following:

  • You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team, giving you the opportunity to develop and make a meaningful contribution
  • Analyzing, optimizing and developing complex, state-of-the-art CV and ML algorithms for mobile devices
  • Evaluating CV and ML workloads on different target platforms and benchmarking them
  • You will be encouraged to participate in the computer vision conferences to stay strong in the state-of-the-art for CV and ML
  • Presenting the algorithms and architectures you have investigated to wider

Essential Skills & Expertise :

  • Proven, hands-on experience in implementing complex Computer Vision and Deep Learning algorithms
  • In depth understanding of ML workflows: preparing the data sets, implementing and training ML models, running inference, evaluating results
  • Low-level understanding of how Deep Neural Networks run on different processor targets, such as CPU, GPU, DSP and NPU hardware
  • Good programming skills in at least one object oriented language (preferably C++) and experience with at least one scripting language (preferably Python)
  • A creative, pro-active and structured approach to problem solving and attention to details
  • Good interpersonal skills, both written and verbal

Desirable Skills & Expertise:

  • Experience in applied computational photography, image or video processing
  • Publications at state-of-the-art conferences (e.g. CVPR, ICCV, ICRA, NeurIPS)
  • Understanding of Arm architecture and/or fundamental concepts of heterogeneous compute in the SoC
