The Silicon Fence around China almost complete, The value of SemiWiki

Arthur Hanson

Well-known member

The Silicon Fence around China is almost complete and will present a whole new sphere of conflict between the major powers. This new form of conflict has become so economically critical it is now literally a form of warfare with critical implications for all of the participants. It also shows the free and open societies are surpassing tightly controlled and centralized societies that have the effect of hobbling free thought and innovation. This shows how over centralized and highly controlled societies actually handicap themselves. It is the free flow of thought and resources of all types that speed progress and freedom combined with ever more powerful communications and computing power will lead the way by taking advantage of the massive compounding offered by this combination. SemiWiki is but ideal example of the best of this process that benefits people and the world through active nonpolitically restrained thought and discourse to the benefit of not only the users, but the world.

Can't agree more mate! We shall all focus more on advancing technologies through active collaboration and selfless interaction; not engaging with these endless fights and selfish fenced-up competitiveness that curb the next innovation to happen.
