Crossbar Memory and Apple/TSM

Just like Intel and Micron have been working on 3DxPoint PCM memory, does anyone have any idea if Apple/TSM will put Crossbar PCM memory in the next iPhone. It would be the game changer Apple needs and they have the money and TSM has been working on Crossbar for a while and have already mentioned they are working on onboard memory. The timing seems about right for development cycles and it could go into the iWatch to. Any comments or analysis appreciated. It seems like PCM memory is well on its way. This fits and that both TSM and Apple are known for secrecy that this could burst on the scene.

There really isn't any analysis to do because this is complete and utter speculation, is it not? And suggesting it "fits better" because we know nothing about this and because Apple/TSMC are known for secrecy is a bit silly - the same logic could be applied to pretty much any field in technology.

It's interesting but a bit premature. It is not obvious the IPhone is in immediate need and the initial costs will be quite high. XPoint and 3D NAND are new memories but targeted for high end (e.g., enterprise rather than consumer) currently. Remember Crossbar has to convince a customer of TSMC first with working silicon to make sure it's worth it. Frankly, they haven't been as open about the technology as 3D-NAND or 3D-PCM (XPoint), and that is harder to adopt.
