Overview
- Reporting into the Director of Industrial Engineering, this role is responsible for optimising throughput, implementing efficiency improvements and ensuring the smooth operation of our semiconductor facility.
Key tasks
- Analyse and optimize semiconductor manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce cycle time, and enhance overall productivity.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles to streamline processes through equipment, reduce queue times and increase throughput on individual tools and the fab as a whole.
- Optimise the layout of equipment and production facilities to maximise space utilisation.
- Work closely with equipment vendors to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance within the manufacturing environment
- Collaborate with equipment engineers to ensure optimal performance and reliability of manufacturing equipment.
- Utilise statistical tools and methodologies to analyse production data and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) and present findings to management.
- Use simulation software to simulate our process flow and implement any learnings on the actual line.
- Any other duties commensurate with the role.
Qualifications and training
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in industrial engineering, within the semiconductor industry.
- Proficiency in using statistical analysis tools and methodologies.
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
