Applications Engineer

• Customer deployment support – collaborating to develop and release Python-based automation frameworks
• Post sales support to resolve product issues or improve usage with new features, end user requirements
• Write and maintain scripts for customer silicon design flows and internal usage (Python)
• Guide internal IC Manage R&D team development to ensure customer user experience requirements are met
• Travel – 20-30%

Requirements:

• Linux experience – basic bash / csh scripting
• 2+ years as either as a IC development or CAD support engineer in an EDA or silicon development team
• Good understanding of IC design workflows, including IP development, releases and tapeout processes
• Experience in 1 or more of the following areas
• Digital implementation flows (Synthesis, Place and Route)
• Verification (emphasis on automation of creating, running, analyzing complex verification flows)
• Cadence Virtuoso Analog development experience
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with customers via email, phone, and in-person visits
• Working knowledge of Python and ability to create new Python applications, debug existing Python applications
