Wiring Systems Engineer – PSP
What You Will Do:
The Wiring Systems Engineer will be responsible for developing the wire harness complexity for the design of the Electrical System and related components. The wiring systems engineer will be responsible for the selection of wire attributes and wire option coding. The wiring systems engineer will design and validate the electrical systems and released components to ensure we meet all electrical specifications in the vehicle and component environments. The wiring systems engineer will support PWB and manufacturing facilities for entire life cycle, manage supplier systems engineering support team, manage large amounts of data and be fluent working in corporate computer systems.
Basics:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent (Materials /Chemical/ Civil/ Aerospace/Computer) from an ABET accredited university.
- 3 years of transportation wiring design and release experience or vehicle electrical system experience.
- 5 years of engineering experience.
- Excellent communication skills that include writing, creation and presentation of management level high quality presentation materials and reports.
- Proficient in MS Office suite of tools including PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
- Valid drivers license.
- Hybrid position.
- Occasional trips to the US for meetings.
Preferred:
- Master of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university.
- Experience using wire harness schematic generation tools (preferred Capital Tools Suite).
- Training in DFMEA, DVP&R and DFSS development tools and processes.
- Working knowledge of CAD systems (NX, Catia).
- Fluency in Spanish and English.
- Experience in high volume manufacturing facilities.
- Familiarity with wiring harness drawings and specifications for automotive applications.
