What you’ll do

We’re looking for a team leader to join our Embedded Software team and be part of realizing a whole new paradigm in semiconductors and microprocessor design. The Embedded Software team is a new team within Codasip that consists of 12 software engineers and compiler engineers working in Germany, UK and Czechia. The team produces software from proof-of-concepts and demonstrators, through to commercial quality products, including software that must comply to safety and/or security standards.

The role will be within our Labs organization, where we work on cutting edge technologies and prepare them for rapid commercialization.

The scope of the work is broad, varied, and technically challenging.

This is an opportunity to shape the team and contribute to the direction and success of Codasip. It’s a high profile position, with high impact and visibility in both our company and the growing RISC-V world.

You will:

• Help plan and manage the day-to-day operation of the team
• Ensure that deliverables are met on time and to the required quality, safety and security standards
• Report development progress to higher levels of management
• Provide technical experience and mentorship to the team
• Support the development and refinement of software development and quality processes, including guiding the implementation of CI/CD and continuous security
• Contribute to the growth of the team and support recruitment
• Communicate with engineering managers from other teams to collaborate on projects and gather software requirements
• Manage internal and external customer interaction and support

What you need:

• Experience of managing a team of experienced local and remote software engineers, ideally in an international environment across different geographies
• Experience in low-level (C/C++) software engineering (firmware, operating systems)
• Knowledge of software secure development lifecycle processes and standards
• Hybrid project management experience (waterfall and agile) with experience of delivering to deadlines as well as incremental updates
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to interact with senior leadership, product management teams and customers

What we’d love you to have:

• Familiarity with aerospace/automotive safety and/or security standards such as ISO26262, DO-178 or ISO21434
