Senior Product Development Engineer

The Product Development department defines the manufacturing processes for new products: from the necessary equipment and manufacturing sequence to the production of the first prototypes. Today, Denis’s team manages the new generations of our silicon products for photonics, RFSOI, FD-SOI, and Power-SOI applications, which are found in data centers for artificial intelligence, connected devices, and cars. Faced with these growing markets, it’s time to strengthen this team.

As a product development engineer, your goal is to develop each manufacturing step individually and then assemble them to define the complete process. In an industrial setting, development involves understanding the physical effects of processes on product quality. The work is iterative: you conduct a design of experiments, analyze the results, and then refine or adjust the process. 

You will be joining a group that perfectly reflects Soitec’s vibrant and innovative spirit. You can count on the operational support of the technicians and the expertise of the experienced engineers. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with all of the company’s production techniques (surface cleaning, molecular bonding, ion implantation, heat treatment, metrology, materials fracture, etc.). 

The organization of the INNOVATION Department allows you to be at the service of customer satisfaction, to work in project mode with other teams (Pilot engineering, expertise, product integration, Soitec Lab, Material Engineering…) and also with other Departments: industrial operations, business unit…

…holding an engineering degree with initial experience (thesis or industrial experience) in one of these 3 fields: microelectronics, semiconductor materials physics or chemistry.
