Key Areas of Responsibility

1. Leadership and Team Development:

  • Provide strategic guidance and technical mentorship to your team of IC Validation Engineers, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous learning.
  • Delegate tasks effectively, ensuring optimal workload distribution and maximizing team efficiency.
  • Establish and maintain a collaborative and results-oriented environment where innovation thrives.

2. FlexIC-Specific Validation Expertise:

  • Design and implement customized validation plans tailored to the unique characteristics of FlexICs, including diverse substrates and unconventional form factors.
  • Collaborate closely with design engineers to optimize testability and facilitate early problem identification.
  • Develop and manage a comprehensive test suite covering all critical functional and performance metrics of FlexIC designs.

3. Rigorous Testing and Problem-Solving:

  • Oversee the execution of validation tests across various platforms, encompassing hardware, software, and firmware solutions.
  • Analyze test results with meticulous attention to detail, pinpointing failures and driving their timely resolution.
  • Lead cross-functional collaborations with design, manufacturing, and other teams to uncover root causes and implement corrective actions.

4. Continuous Improvement and Automation:

  • Champion the adoption of new validation methodologies and automation tools to optimize efficiency and enhance process effectiveness.
  • Develop and document best practices, ensuring knowledge transfer and facilitating future FlexIC validation endeavours.

5. Effective Communication and Collaboration:

Qualifications and training

  • Degree or postgraduate in electronics, engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Solid understanding of circuit fabrication processes, particularly for flexible
    electronics or non-traditional substrates.
  • A strong understanding of electronics and its core principles.
  • A strong ability to solve technical problems with many different variables.
  • A strong ability to work to tight deadlines and progress multiple projects simultaneously.

Essential Skills and experience

  • Experience in IC validation or a closely related field, demonstrably successful in leading and motivating engineering teams.
