ST hasn't touched bottom yet?

Officially discontinues set-top chip business (though I thought they had done that some time ago?), plans to cut another 1,400 jobs, increase focus in Automotive and microcontrollers. From what I remember, automotive was principally in Agrate (Italy) and microcontrollers in Rousset (France), though admittedly my info is several years old. FD-SOI fab is in Crolles (near Grenoble), also I would assume MEMS, so what is left in Grenoble?

STMicro cutting 1,400 jobs, ending set-top chip R&D; BRCM/AVGO could benefit - STMicroelectronics NV (NYSE:STM) | Seeking Alpha

When you say ST in Grenoble, it's actually the Crolles site, I have visited that factory, it's massive. Most of the ST R&D, and 200mm, 300mm fab are there. FD-SOI is being done in ST Crolles. Crolles is like the suburb of Grenoble city.

Er - that's what I said Pawan. The fab is in Crolles along with some design, but the main design facility is (or maybe was) in Grenoble, at the Polygone
