New Research Track Brings Further Growth and Adds DepthNew Research Track Brings Further Growth and Adds Depth

Munich, Germany – 1st December 2023 - The Design and Verification Conference & Exhibition Europe (DVCon Europe), has celebrated a highly successful tenth anniversary. Attendance once again increased year-on-year and delegates came from 181 different affiliations (115 in 2022). A new research track was implemented this year and the quality of all conference papers was consistently high. The number of booths also increased again, from 17 in 2022 to 20 this year. DVCon Europe, held this year on 14th and 15th November, with SystemC Evolution Day on the 16th, is hosted by Accellera Systems Initiative.

Program highlights included presentations and discussions on AI, high performance compute and chiplets, while design, verification and system level design continue to be of growing interest, with more papers in this year’s program.

Martin Barnasconi, General Chair of DVCon Europe, said, “I am pleased and proud to be able to celebrate our 10th anniversary with our engineering community, who joined us from around the world. The inception of the new research track truly enriched the technical program and attracted a lot of interest.”

The Best Paper Award in the engineering category went to: ‘The Three Body Problem: There’s more to building Silicon than EDA tools currently help’, by Peter Birch, VyperCore, and Ben Marshall, PQShield; while in the Research category, Best Paper was won by: ‘Clock Tree Design Considerations in The Presence of Asymmetric Transistor Aging’, by Professor Doctor Freddy Gabbay PhD, Ruppin Academic Center, Israel, and Firas Ramadan and Majd Ganaiem of Technion, Israel Institute of Technology.

DVCon Europe 2024 will be held in Munich on 15th and 16th October, followed by SystemC Evolution Day on 17th.
