Seasonality of semiconductor supply and demand?

I'm familiar with the semiconductor cycle (boom/bust every 3-5 years or so, manifesting itself mostly in the memory markets) but what about seasonal effects?

From what I've heard, demand varies due to different regional events: Chinese New Year, USA Christmas season, European vacations in August. Any others?

What about on the supply side?
