Semis Key to Combating Covid, Unsung Heroes

Arthur Hanson

Well-known member
Semis have played a key role in almost every aspect of solving the covid pandemic at almost every stage. This extends from imaging down to levels once thought unimaginable, genetic readers, test equipment, diagnostics, AI/ML applications and data bases at literally at every step taken to defeat this challegning virus. The semiconductor industry is literally the unsung hero that made the foundation on which this conflict is being won. This doesn't even count an almost imaginable level of international collaboration in not only information, but imaging and data bases at a world wide scale. Without these resources, we would all be in deep trouble. As the world becomes increasingly over populated, the tech sector will play an increasingly important role not just in living, but surviving. The challenges before us are daunting, but the semi sector has created the foundation of our defences.

Ai in tracking mutations is huge and something that hasn't been done before.

Sadly, I don't think overpopulation will be a problem much longer.
