by Daniel Nenni on 04-18-2025 at 10:00 am

Dan is joined by Kevin O’Buckley, senior vice president and general manager of Foundry Services at Intel Corporation. In this role, he is responsible for driving continued growth for Intel Foundry and its differentiated systems foundry offerings, which go beyond traditional wafer fabrication to include packaging, chiplet standards and software, as well as U.S.- and Europe-based capacity.

Dan explores the changes at Intel Foundry Services with Kevin as the company moves into a broad-based foundry model. Kevin describes the new culture at Intel that focuses on ecosystem partnerships to bring differentiated, cutting edge fabrication and packaging capabilities to a broad customer base. Kevin spends some time on the attributes of the Intel 18A process node and the new capabilities it brings to market in areas such as gate-all-around and backside metal technologies.

Kevin also discusses what lies ahead at Intel in the areas of advanced technology and advanced packaging. The views, thoughts, and opinions expressed in these podcasts belong solely to the speaker, and not to the speaker’s employer, organization, committee or any other group or individual.
