Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting (Masters of Tax or CPA, a plus)
- 4+ years of relevant tax experience in public accounting and/or a corporate tax department (Big 4, High Technology Industry, or R&D Cost Sharing experience is a plus)
- A committed individual that is diligent in performing self-reviews of their work product and has:
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills;
- The capability of managing multiple tasks, prioritizing and adhering to tight timelines and working for multiple managers;
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with SAP and MS Excel (experience with One Source Tax Provision, Equity Edge, Epiphany, Alteryx is a plus);
- Strong federal corporate income tax knowledge base required including ASC 740 as it relates to the US federal and state tax provision;
- Ability to work well in a team environment, learn quickly and assume new challenges as they arise; and
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsibilities, depending upon candidate experience and fit would include:
- Assisting in preparation of recurring intercompany calculations and related journal entries;
- Assisting with the preparation of US Federal and state tax returns including base erosion payments, research tax credits and other components of the tax returns;
- Researching domestic and international income tax issues;
- Coordinating with external service providers and auditors on domestic, financial reporting and international tax matters;
- Providing support for financial statement reporting including assisting with the preparation of the quarterly and year-end tax provision components;
- Assisting with various other domestic and international projects as needed;
- Supporting US Federal and foreign tax examinations;
- Responding to US Federal tax notices and other tax correspondence including directly interfacing with Federal tax officials; and
- Assisting in the preparation of intercompany transfer pricing documentation.
