What You’ll Do as a Technical Writer at Arteris
Do you want to contribute to the backbone of some of the world’s most popular SoCs?
As a Technical Writer at Arteris, you will work with an expert engineering team to document interconnect and memory hierarchy solutions used in advanced SoC designs across mobile, telecom, automotive, and consumer markets.
We are looking for a motivated, self-driven, and efficient writer who can be productive from day one, capable of analyzing complex technical information and transforming it into clear, accurate, and user-friendly documentation for both internal and external audiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, create, and maintain technical documentation for internal and external engineering audiences, including user guides, reference manuals, FAQs, and related materials
- Gather documentation requirements and technical content from subject matter experts (engineers, application engineers, software developers, managers)
- Analyze and extract information from complex engineering documentation
- Create new content and maintain existing documentation, ensuring accuracy and consistency
- Manage tasks and information flow using collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, and SharePoint
- Participate in reviews and QA of customer tools and user interfaces to ensure usability, effectiveness, and alignment with documentation
- Interview SMEs and gain hands-on experience with products, learning all aspects of setup and usage
What You Bring
Required Qualifications
- Fluent in English and French (mandatory)
- 3–5 years of experience in technical writing (software and/or hardware), including writing documentation from scratch
- Strong CCMS skills (experience with MadCap Flare & Central is a plus)
- Ability to develop context-sensitive help and HTML-based web help
- Knowledge of single-sourcing, content reuse, and conditional text
- Familiarity with best practices for graphics, complex tables, diagrams, and waveforms
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, and SharePoint
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to quickly understand complex technical concepts and explain them clearly through text and visuals
- Strong organizational, collaboration, and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, international environment with tight deadlines
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with Adobe Photoshop
- Basic programming experience in Python and/or JavaScript
- Exposure to the semiconductor industry
Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, certification in Technical Writing, or equivalent professional experience
Compensation
Base salary range: €45,000 – €55,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
