Glass Core Technology – Applications Engineer

Summary/Objective: The Glass Core Technology (GCT) Applications Engineer will define designs and solutions that meet customer requirements and business needs through working with the Customer, Product, and Process Engineers.  Daily interaction with Customers, Production, Engineering, and Management will be required to manage new and existing opportunities.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

• Day to day Customer and Sales team engagement.
• Filter and categorize incoming opportunities.
• Define product concepts with customers and work with internal partners to develop the solution.
• Engage with manufacturing partners internally and externally.
• Coach and guide internal resources to better understand GCT business objectives and needs.
• Working with internal resources to quote opportunities.
• Present applications and opportunities to management.
• Identify and recommend GCT technology roadmap opportunities based on market and competitor trends.
• Correspond with customer to propose and design the correct solution for their application.
• Lead customer meetings during design qualification stage or development.
• Must know the characteristics of a wide breadth of processes and materials.

Required Experience:

• 3 – 5 years of experience in wafer fabrication or related industry.
• Manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Outside sales experience in a technical industry is desired.

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or other technical discipline required.
