SUMMARY

The Employment & Labor Relations Manager (m/w/d) is responsible for a constructive and trusting cooperation with the employee representatives in Germany. This subject matter expert will play a key role in all aspects related to labor law and industrial constitution law as well as GDPR questions. This position reports directly to the Human Resources Manager DACH and works closely with local and global team members of HR.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Company representative in relation to the works council committee(s)
  • Conducting negotiations with the works council as well as preparation and follow-up of the meetings with the respected business leaders
  • Drafting, structuring and negotiating of company agreements (Betriebsvereinbarungen)
  • Interface between headquarters and DACH managers/employees regarding GDPR questions
  • Handling of labor law and social security questions in Germany, Austria and Switzerland in close cooperation with HR Manager and HR Business Partner
  • Create employment contract templates
  • Review and revise company policy, guidelines and work instructions by representing local laws
  • Cooperation with external consultants and lawyers
  • Build and provide training on labor law and industrial constitution law topics
  • Stand-in of HR Manager during absence

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master´s or Bachelor’s degree in law studies with focus on employment law (individual and collective)
  • Relevant work experience in a comparable position
  • Long-term experience in cooperation with works council committee(s)
  • Working experience in a fast paced and multi-national environment is a plus
  • Strong communication skills and teamwork
  • High level of professionalism and discretion
  • Structured way of working and result oriented
  • Affinity to IT tools and systems
  • Open minded and flexible
  • Fluent in German and English (verbal and written)
  • Willingness to travel
