What You’ll Do as a Senior FPGA Engineer at Arteris
Join our innovative team and help shape the future of semiconductor technology, specifically system-on-chip (SoC) and chiplets. In this role, you will design, prototype, and validate complex SoC architectures using FPGA platforms, collaborating with cross-functional teams to accelerate development and ensure high-quality silicon solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement FPGA-based prototypes for complex SoC and interconnect IP
- Develop RTL in Verilog/SystemVerilog and integrate IP blocks into FPGA environments
- Bring-up, debug, and validate FPGA platforms for pre-silicon verification
- Optimize FPGA designs for performance, timing, and resource utilization
- Develop testbenches, scripts, and automation for validation and regression flows
- Collaborate with design, verification, and software teams to ensure system-level functionality
What You Bring
- 7+ years of experience in FPGA design, prototyping, or digital hardware development
- Strong expertise in Verilog/SystemVerilog and RTL design methodologies
- Experience with FPGA platforms (Xilinx, Intel/Altera) and toolchains
- Solid understanding of SoC architecture, interconnects, and memory subsystems
- Experience with debugging tools (logic analyzers, waveform viewers) and lab bring-up
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, Tcl, or similar) for automation
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams
Bonus Points If You Have
- Experience with FPGA-based prototyping for ASIC/SoC development
- Knowledge of AMBA protocols (AXI, ACE, CHI) or similar interconnect standards
- Familiarity with emulation platforms or hybrid prototyping flows
- Experience with performance analysis and system-level validation
- Exposure to EDA tools and semiconductor IP development
Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
Estimated Base Salary
EUR 45 000 to EUR 60 000 annually. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions
