Job Description:

  • Develop the firmware for next generation Die-to-Die solutions spanning multiple protocols like UCIe and BoW
  • Working closely with PHY digital and mixed signal architects to figure out the details of FW functions and sequences
  • Support and enhance existing firmware applications and features
  • Contribute during firmware architecture development and implementation of the defined firmware features
  • Advocate improvements in system level architecture while working with cross-functional team members
  • Work closely with verification team to debug and fix the FW issues found during verification simulations
  • Involvement during post-silicon testing and validation to identify any FW and HW related functionality and performance issues and implement any necessary FW improvements to address these issues.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation infrastructure related to firmware design, development, bug fixes and compliance testing.

Job Experience Requirements include:

  • Experience designing and promoting solutions to complex digital design and software development challenges.
  • Ability to resolve issues in creative ways and exercise self-directed judgment in selecting methods and techniques to obtain solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience executing projects from start to completion.
  • Demonstrated experience contributing complex portions to larger team design/development.
  • Experience working with diverse internal team members and customers on complex technical issues.

General Requirements:

  • BS, MS, Ph.D. in Electrical/ECE engineering (MSEE+ preferred)
  • 5+ years of relevant industry experience
  • Understanding of both digital logic and firmware/software development plus previous in-depth specialization in either
  • Experience designing and promoting solutions to complex digital design and software development challenges.

Specific Skill Requirements:

  • Experience with coding in C, Assembly Language and System Verilog.
  • Advocate for structured firmware development, verification and documentation processes
  • Working understanding of cross-development tool flows
  • Working experience of digital logic design, simulation, and debug using Verilog
  • Understanding of Die-to-Die and/or DDR Memory standards is a plus
  • Scripting experience with Perl, Python, Bash, or Csh is a plus
  • Home location close to Sunnyvale, California is a plus as our hardware test lab is located there.

Compensation:

In addition to Blue Cheetah’s generous benefit package, the target base pay range for this role is between $145,000 and $225,000. Your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location
