Overview
Electromagnetic phenomena in antennas are often at the core of most electrical engineering fields, as they illustrate many characteristics to learn, such as gain, bandwidth, directivity, or efficiency. In terms of learning outcomes, helping students understand the underlying physics that connects antenna performance, array implementation, and prediction of its behavior is what to aim for. This webinar will introduce professors to Ansys Electronics Desktop (AEDT), provide an approach for teaching antenna design using simulation tools, and run through teaching resources or use cases that can be incorporated into the curriculum.
What you will learn
- Get an introduction to Ansys electronic desktop (AEDT) and electromagnetic simulation tool with integrated solvers
- How you can use electromagnetic simulation tools like HFSS to engage students on dipole antenna and array principles and design practices
- How to use the Antenna toolkit to explore different antenna designs
- How to extend the design to array implementations to cover antenna and array teaching concepts
- Support and educational resources available through the Ansys Educator Hub on corresponding topics
Who should attend
Academics and educators teaching or interested in engineering topics; electrical engineering, mechatronics engineering, aerospace engineering, and design engineers.
