Job Description

As the industry’s leading supplier of microprocessor technology, Arm provides efficient, low-power chip intelligence making affordable, easy-to-use electronic innovations come to life.  Arm engineers design and develop CPUs, graphics processors, complex system IP, supporting software development tools, and physical libraries. 

We are seeking highly motivated interns to join Arm’s Research Operations team to develop new software tools supporting collaboration with Arm’s ecosystem of University, government, and commercial research partners.  This position is for summer placement at Arm’s Austin, Texas office.  Our architecture and systems research activities cover a wide range of disciplines including mobile and laptop personal computing and applications; server, cloud, and HPC computing; emerging memory technologies; interconnects; throughput and vector computing; formal design methods and security; exploiting parallelism with vector, SIMD, throughput, and multicore architecture; and machine learning and computer vision.   

Exceptional candidates will experience firsthand how Arm shapes an ecosystem of more than one thousand partners that ship over 10 billion leading-edge Arm-powered processors each year.  Candidates should be enthusiastic about web application software development and report generation using Node JS (NPM), Microsoft Graph API with SharepointJira, SQL databases, Power BI, plus other tools   

Education & Qualifications 

Candidates pursuing BS degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering with previous computer industry work experience or internships preferred. 

Essential Skills & Experience 

Candidates should have computer software skills in these areas: 

  • Software development with one or more languages including Python, JavaScript, SQL 
  • Web application development with Node JS, Node-Red, and Angular 
  • Generating automated reports 
  • Microsoft Graph API 
  • REST API  
  • Json 
  • SQL databases such as MySQL, SQL Server 

Candidates preferred who also have experience with JiraConfluenceMicrosoft Power BI, Microsoft Office portfolio including Word, Powerpoint, Excel plus Microsoft Teams and Sharepoint. 

Successful candidates must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
