The role

Black Semiconductor is looking for a motivated maintenance technician (m/f/d) to strengthen our team on site in Aachen.

This position is particularly suitable for applicants who have recently completed or are about to complete their vocational training, technical education or a comparable technical qualification, for example in the fields of mechatronics, industrial mechanics, electrical engineering/electronics or a related technical field.

They work with automated systems in our semiconductor production and support the maintenance and reliable operation of Automated Material Handling Systems (AMHS).

Prior knowledge of the semiconductor industry or AMHS is not required. You will receive the necessary training and support to familiarize yourself with the equipment and further develop your technical skills.

Your tasks

• Performing basic preventive and corrective maintenance work on automated systems and AMHS systems.
• Support in troubleshooting and resolving mechanical, electrical and basic control engineering malfunctions.
• Monitoring of the systems, responding to fault reports and providing support for the rapid restoration of plant operations to minimize production downtime.
• Support for installation, commissioning, maintenance and technical upgrades together with engineering teams and external partners.
• Compliance with technical work instructions, safety requirements and cleanroom standards.
• Careful maintenance of maintenance logs, technical documentation and spare parts information.

Your profile

• Completed or nearing completion of vocational training, technical training or comparable qualification in the fields of mechatronics, industrial mechanics, electrical engineering/electronics or a related technical field.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, electronic or automated systems.
• Strong technical interest and willingness to learn about new systems and technologies.
• Ability to carefully follow technical instructions and work safely.
• Ability to work in confined spaces and, if necessary, at heights of up to 4 meters.
• Good communication and teamwork skills, as well as good German and English skills.
