The role
This is an engineering role focusing on hardware development. The role is to work alongside system architects, to build and validate future Arm-based System-on-Chip designs. You will have the opportunities of:

- Developing solutions for systems where many ideas are at embryo stage of development in the industry
- Employing leading-edge design and verification technologies to produce low-power, high-performance products
- Enabling other colleagues and our partners by providing system-level insights for the design of Arm’s CPU, Media and System IP
- Developing skills in hardware design and integration, functional verification, test automation, system design
More specifically, you will gain hands-on experiences in different stages of system development, ranging from high-level conceptual investigation to actual implementation and validation of the micro-architecture, and from system level integration to unit level design.

You will be on track to receive, or have achieved a 2.1 degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, or other related subject.
Essential Skills
- Understanding of computer and system architecture concepts.
- Knowledge of digital circuits.
- Enthusiastic and passionate about all aspects of system design engineering both within, and outside, a degree course.
- Strong collaboration with good communication skills.
- Excellent attention to details
- Fluency in one of common programming languages (for example, C/C++, Python).
Desirable Skills
- Competency in Hardware Description Language: Verilog or VHDL.
- Familiarity with the Arm AMBA specifications or other bus protocols.
- Knowledge of the Arm architecture.
- Knowledge of design techniques for low power
- Exposure or working knowledge of synthesis/floor-planning/power-planning and place-and-route tools and techniques
- Confidence in use of UNIX environment and shell programming/scripting in e.g. Tcl, Perl, Python etc.
