This Workforce Development Specialist role is a fixed-term contract of up to 6-months. This position is on-site, 5-days per week Monday thru Friday 8-5, or 9-6.

The Workforce Development Specialist – Fixed Term Contract serves as the administrator project manager and program developer for TSMC Workforce Development Programs.
Responsibilities:
- Program Management and Coordination:
- Manage the apprenticeship program inbox, respond to inquiries, and coordinate workforce development-related meetings and task force activities.
- Organize and maintain workforce development documentation and shared folder systems.
- Training and Development:
- Support apprenticeship program onboarding, orientation, and ongoing training activities.
- Design and improve workforce development programs, including creating on-the-job training materials, handbooks, and standard operating procedures.
- Project Management and Reporting:
- Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure projects align with scope, schedule, and budget.
- Track training records, report outcomes, and escalate issues as needed.
- Website and Content Management:
- Maintain and update the apprenticeship program website.
- Develop communication materials to promote workforce development programs internally and externally.
- Community Outreach and Representation:
- Attend marketing, networking, and education partnership events to promote workforce development initiatives.
- Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition and Development (TAD) team to participate in job fairs, webinars, and other outreach activities.
- Administrative and Other Duties:
- Perform administrative tasks such as answering phones, interviewing, training employees, and filing.
- Handle additional responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, or a learning and development-related field is required.
Technical Skills:
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Basic project management skills with the ability to manage multiple programs and tasks simultaneously.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience managing HR programs or projects.
- A background in instructional design, project management, workforce development strongly preferred.
- Analytical skills with the ability to develop and improve standard operating processes.
Interpersonal Skills:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities.
- Self-starter with a strong work ethic and a sense of urgency to meet deadlines.
- Adaptability and resilience in a dynamic, start-up-like environment.
Physical Requirements:
- Must maintain reliable transportation and valid insurance for in-state travel.
Candidates must be willing and able to work on-site at our Phoenix Arizona facility.
