SUMMARY
The Senior Oracle Application Developer is an IT professional with an understanding of financial business applications functionality and capabilities with the ability to develop detailed functional and technical design recommendations and configurations of business applications. The primary focus will be leveraging development experience with Oracle EBS R12 applications and interfaces to provide robust functionality and meet new requirements from the business. In this role, the developer must be able to interact with business teams, understand and document business needs, and translate them into a system solution that they will develop. The Senior Oracle Application Developer will be responsible for participating in vendor contract negotiations for applications, analyzing or other applications and determining the technical issues that involve coding, system performance, infrastructure impacts, and other advanced technical concerns.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop Oracle EBS R12 applications and interfaces to provide robust functionality and meet new requirements from the business.
  • Provide technical and functional support of the Oracle EBS R12 environment and resolve all business issues and challenges.
  • Collaborate with the finance team and development teams to develop scalable and robust financial processes across the Procure to Pay (P2P) and Order to Cash (O2C) business processes.
  • Assist in the planning, design, and development associated with migrating an Oracle R12 on-prem system to the Oracle Cloud.
  • Support migration of financial systems to Oracle or Cloud based Platforms.
  • Raising and monitoring Oracle Support Service Requests and managing patch application, when necessary.
  • Liaise with third-party/internal DBA’s and other development teams.
  • Deliver training to end users and new users.
  • Facilitate meetings with client representatives to identify and create functional requirements.
  • Facilitate meetings with development teams to document technical design requirements.
  • Meet with other members of the business to review completed functional specifications, technical specifications, and customizations.
  • Perform systems analysis and design activities.
  • Assist in the creation and review of test scripts and participate in user acceptance testing.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related field of study or equivalent work experience.
  • Requires minimum of 5 years Oracle EBS R12 development experience. 5 plus years of implementations, support, and development experience, preferably with Oracle R12.
  • Functional and technical knowledge of all Oracle EBS R12 financials modules with a strong emphasis on Order Management, Receivables, and General Ledger.
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle SQL and PL/SQL with experience in creating PL/SQL programs, packages, and procedures.
  • Previous experience with Order to Cash and Procure to Pay business processes in an Oracle environment.
  • Ability to understand, support, and implement custom interfaces with external cloud and internal cloud applications.
  • Expert knowledge of Oracle development tools, e-Business application functionality, system administration, database structure, and knowledge of a multi-Org architecture.
  • Understanding of the Oracle Cloud architecture and knowledge of Oracle Cloud development.
  • Strong analysis skills that have been proven in an application development / implementation environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux and Unix with the ability to create shell scripts and other custom programs.
  • Proven ability to work at the direction of a lead developer but must have demonstrated self-initiative and leadership skills.
  • Ability to identify and understand problems and/or issues and develop solutions.
  • Proven ability to work with the internal finance team to develop solutions to best meet their needs and additionally meet project deadlines.
  • Interest in developing knowledge around specific business areas, and how systems can be used to solve business problems in those business areas.
  • Strong customer relationship skills.
  • Relevant industry knowledge of widely used systems and subsystems.
  • Ability to manage sub-project tasks, deliverables, and milestones.
  • Ability to multitask and manage and support multiple projects.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with the ability to present to mid-level management.
  • Understanding of the Systems Implementation Life Cycle.
  • Knowledge and understanding of ERP capabilities, tables, and development tools, including but not limited to: Oracle SQL Developer, Toad for Oracle, Microsoft Access.
