Infotainment Software Engineer

Job Summary:

Our client in Torrance, CA is looking for an Infotainment Software Engineer. This is a Contract position.

What You Will Do:

• In this role, you will be tasked with developing the various components that make up our infotainment system.  You will work with other teams and team members to integrate software deliveries into a complete solution. You will test software releases, help identify issues in the release, and the provide solutions for those issues.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain a solid understanding of what the system should be by reviewing requirements
• Development and delivery of high-quality software components
• Integrate of software components into software release.
• Testing of Integrated software release to ensure quality and functionality.
• Working with team leads to identify and scope work into manageable tasks
• Producing documentation of work and dissemination of information within and across teams

Required Skills:

• 3+ years developing embedded applications – including automotive experience
• Excellent C/C++ development skills including knowledge of design patterns and data structures.
• Extensive Experience using Linux including application development, driver development, and/or distribution management.
• Experience connecting applications with backend services or mobile applications
• Experience with Bluetooth / Wi-Fi / Cellular interfaces.
• Knowledge of automotive communication technologies (CAN, LIN, Automotive Ethernet)
• Experience with JIRA, Git, and Agile Software development methodology.
• Has shown the ability to function independently on a day-to-day basis
• Excellent communication skills
• Pay rate: 60-67 USD per hour.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Qt UI package is a plus
• Experience with Yocto and/or Automotive Grade Linux is a plus
• Experience developing software for manufacturing test
