SUMMARY
The Director, Strategic Events is responsible for designing, implementing and delivering ROI for global executive event programs. This includes reinforcing our core values and reputation for thought leadership and innovation in exhibit and event strategy, designing an environment for exclusive and productive customer, media and partner interactions and project managing all aspects of executive events across a highly matrixed, global organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Tier 1 corporate exhibit and events design strategy to elevate our brand, distinguish ANSYS in highly competitive trade show environments, best leverage our strategic partners and generate leads
- Management of every aspect of our global executive events from strategic event design and impactful integration of partner, customer and media interactions to on-site event management, executive support and ROI analysis
- Infuse innovation, laser-targeted brand messaging and imagery and customer and partner content to create sophisticated and impactful VIP experiences
- All aspects of project and logistical management
- Executive briefings and post-event executive analysis
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree
- 10+ years of successful corporate event planning, project management and logistics coordination experience
- Extensive experience with large-scale global event management
- Certified Meeting Manager (CMM) and/or Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) certification preferred
- Results-driven with very strong ability to analyze quantitative data to determine program effectiveness, ROI, forecasting
- Must have budget management experience and financial analysis skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills
- Flexible to travel at least 25%

- Strong manager and leader who is able to operate autonomously yet still be highly collaborative and resourceful
- Inherently driven to deliver results with a sense of urgency to achieve
- Ability to think strategically, but also have exceptional attention to detail in execution
- Superb interpersonal skills to represent the ANSYS brand, quickly forge strong relationships with partners & stakeholders- internal & external
- Direct experience and understanding of working with business intelligence tools and other data cleansing and reporting tools
- Plans, organizes, schedules, and budgets in an efficient, productive manner while remaining focused on key priorities
- Strong team player with ability to develop effective working relationships across organization: regional and global marketing teams, sales, sales operations, IT
